Southbank & Docklands
Renovation and builders cleaning in Southbank and Docklands
This is our own neighbourhood. Our own base is in Southbank. It is also the part of Melbourne where the cleaning itself is the easy half of the job, because everything about a tower makes access the problem.
What makes tower apartments different
The lift has to be booked
Most buildings require a service lift booking with protective blankets, in a fixed window, often not on weekends. Miss it and the job does not happen. We sort this with building management before the day rather than turning up and finding out.
There is nowhere to park
No driveway, no street frontage, and a loading bay that has to be booked as well. Equipment gets carried in through a dock and up a service lift, which changes what we bring and how long setup takes.
Building rules and inductions
Owners corporations increasingly want contractor details, insurance certificates and sometimes an induction before anyone works in the building. Send us the building manager’s requirements with your photos and we will deal with it directly.
Renovation dust has nowhere to go
An apartment is a sealed box with mechanical ventilation. Dust from a bathroom or kitchen renovation ends up in the wardrobes, in the air-conditioning returns and in rooms with the door shut. Cleaning only the renovated room is why it keeps coming back.
Typical Southbank and Docklands jobs
Single-bathroom and kitchen renovations in occupied apartments, whole-apartment refurbishments between tenancies, and after-builders cleans in newly completed towers. Nearly all of them are the same shape: a small floor area with a very high proportion of glass, joinery and hard surfaces, and almost no tolerance for dust because there is nowhere for it to hide.
What we need to know when you send photos
- The building and whether a service lift booking is required
- Loading dock access and any time restrictions
- Whether the apartment is occupied or empty
- Whether the building manager needs contractor documentation
